Energy audit aims to understand how energy is used, what are the causes of any waste and what measures can be suggested to the user, defining an energy plan that evaluates not only the technical but also the feasibility of proposed actions. Energy Audit phases:
phase 1 GENERAL BUILDING AND PLANTS DATA
1. Planimetric building analysis to obtain the surface heated or air-conditioned
2. Analysis of energy-consumption technology and utilities requirements
3. Analysis of structural characteristics of the building and facilities in order to identify critical issues and problems
4. Historical analysis (last 2-3 years) of energy consumption (gas, electricity) and climate data of the area
5. Collection of information on the timetable and modalities for the functioning of plants.
6. Data analysis on power distribution within the structure.
Phase 2 PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS OF DATA
The purposes of this audit phase are:
1. Studying the annual trend of energy consumption
2. Studying the relationships between consumption, climatic conditions and actual requirements of technological Utilities
3. Process the overall energy balance of the building and identify the inefficiencies of the system
phase 3 PROPOSAL
Identification of possible PROPOSALS for improvements on the property aimed at reducing consumption in order to:
1. Investigate possible interventions to reduce thermal and electrical consumption and reduce emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere
2. Identify with technical feasibility study the practicable actions to improve energy efficiency
3. proceed to energy certification in accordance with state laws requirements
4. Provide useful and essential topics to the construction of an energy management system according to the requirements described by standard EN ISO 50001.
